Module 5 – Introduction to Canon Device Security / Professional IT Security CEV001131

This training is for delegates who need a better understanding of Canon device security and how we use a Canon device in a secure network. This module introduces the security concepts along with an understanding of how and why our devices may be attacked. The delivery of the practitioner content is via a trainer led virtual classroom. Pre work will need to be completed before the classroom sessions.

This course is not training for any specific Microsoft or other professional exam body.

Why is security important to our customers?
What is a security policy?
What drives their security policy?

Language of IT Security
Understand the terms used by IT security professionals.
Have you ever understood the jargon and all the abbreviations used in information security (info sec)? This section will give you an idea of many terms and concepts you may hear. Just a few to start, SAML -  Security Assertion Markup Language, Least Privilege, IOT - Internet of things or Zero Trust.

Risk and Risk Management
Risk acceptance, avoidance, and identification.

Vulnerability
What are vulnerabilities and how do we address them with our customers. Answering customers penetration test queries and dealing with CVE compliance requests.

Security Monitoring
SEIM, iWEMC, CDCA and other Canon tools. 

Secure by Design
Designing a customer project with security in mind from the outset. Implementing Canon devices and solutions for our customers. Zero trust implication, including different types and their influence on Canon products. Discuss Uniflow and zero trust.

Cloud Security Concepts
Azure admin, connection with on premise AD. Authentication and Authorisation.
